The Nigeria Computer Society has announced its 2014 Information Technology competition, tagged ‘National Information Technology Whizkids Competition’.
The competition is billed to commence on May 27 is open to students in private and public secondary schools across Nigeria.
The competition is designed to develop and encourage excellence among secondary school students across the country, NCS said while urging interested Secondary Schools to complete the registration form online for two candidates with evidence of payment of two thousand Naira only per school as registration fee. Only students from SS1 to SS2 are eligible to participate, according to the society.
The competition will be held on state, zonal and national basis from May 27. The grand finale will hold in Enugu state from July 23 to 25. Registration closes on May 15.
Registration form and competition syllabus can be obtained from the Society’s website, according to NCS which is offering computer products, cash prizes, scholarship, plaques and consolation prizes to participating students, schools and winners.
