Global Market Watch has reported that about $1.6 trillion would be realised from sales of consumer electronics between 2011-2018 globally.
According to the report, Africa will have a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 16.9% while Asia is expected to account for the highest CARG followed by the Middle East with 17.6% and 17% respectively.
The report also said personal computers will account for 25.5% moving to the second position as Analog & Digital TV will take the lion share of the total market share with 32%.
The forecast however buttressing initial data by Gartner, a US technology research consultancy that reported a 1.7% decline in the shipment of PC in the first quarter of 2014 compared to the figures obtained in first quarter of 2013.
According to the industry analyst, the data used in making the estimate was gotten from government database,companies website,press press releases and online surveys using customized questionnaires by its research teams.
