Network security company, Arbor Networks says it has partnered some Nigerian tech industry playersto organize a one-day conference on cyber crimes and activities across the country.
Organizers of the event say participants will see how the Arbor solution can assist companies in mitigating Distributed Denial-Of-Service (DDOS) attacks.
Billed to hold later this month in Lagos, the nation’s commercial capital organizers say the upcoming event will be illustrating how the company’s hybrid DDOS solutions are today’s best practice solutions for both on-premises and the cloud.

Bryan Hamman, territory manager for sub-Saharan Africa at Arbor Networks says that ” there is a huge requirement for skilled and capable vendors to provide East and West African companies with leading security solutions that can assist in the mitigation, detection and identification of such attacks.”
Nigeria has become one of Arbor’s main focus regions on the African continent and, as such, a strong emphasis has been placed on growing Arbor Networks as a brand and product in the region, he says.
Participants will also be introduced to Arbor’s new product release, Advanced Threat, a solution that leverages integrated Netflow and Packet Capture technology for network-wide situational awareness, broad and deep traffic visibility and security intelligence, the company says.
