Taiwanese technology company Acers has unfolded its Liquid Jade 2, an elegant Android smartphone what it says was designed for a superior multimedia experience.
The Mobile World Congress 2016 is traditionally a place where the company unveils its latest offerings and this year, the Acer Liquid Jade 2, made its debut there.
The price of the smartphone which was released to the mobile phone market at the annual trade show varies according to region and market, Acer says.
SCREEN
The Liquid Jade 2 features a brilliant 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass AMOLED screen supporting 100% of the NTSC (National Television System Committee) colour gamut, which is the range of colour a display can reproduce, and high resolution audio with virtual surrounding sound, providing enjoyable entertainment anytime, anywhere.
DESIGN
The award-winning Liquid Jade design is sleek and slim with a hairline brushed iron grey back cover which finishes with a metallic touch, and joined to the screen with a bold red silhouette highlight. its curved back cover fits comfortably in the hand.
PERFORMANCE
The Liquid Jade 2 is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor which gives it a smooth multimedia experience including 3GB of RAM and 32GB ROM which provides a large storage capacity for users.
Users can also enjoy 1 terabyte hybrid storage, which provides a seamless integration of local storage with cloud storage on select models. Hybrid storage enables users to install apps, store and access music, photos, and video collections easily their favorite apps. It’s LTE Cat.6 and 802.11 ac dual-bands MIMO wireless connectivity also makes downloads a snap.
CAMERA
The device supports up to 4k (3840 x 2160) video recording, with dual LED flash which projects a brighter light for users. It features a 21MP main camera with PDAF (Phase-Detection Autofocus) with a professional camera mode that allows users to tweak advanced settings such as white balance, IISO, EV, and focus mode.
The 8MP front-facing camera supports an 84 degree wide angle, and also supports a “pause N shoot” selfie mode which detects your face and automatically starts to countdown three seconds and then takes the shot.
MULTIMEDIA
The device supports high resolution audio, and features DTS Headphone –X technology for an immersive surround sound experience with any pair of headphones. The 5.5 inch full HD AMOLED screen on the Liquid Jade 2 produces vibrant and crisp images, and supports the full NTSC colour gamut for true-to-life colours. The screen also features Zero Air Gap technology for improved readability under sunlight, and on cell touch technology for a slimmer profile.
