Lagos. March 9, 2013: Acer has launched three new products in Nigeria promising to further strengthen ties that will increase its market share in the local technology industry.
The week, the computer maker introduced two tablets, Iconia W700P and Iconia W510P, and an Ultrabook, the Aspire S7 series in Nigeria.
Amin Mortazavi, Acer Vice President, Middle East and Africa, says the technology company’s business model of operating through channel partners makes it compelling for constant engagement and empowerment of the partners to deliver better results.
Acer hopes to provide its local partner network world-class business support services in business lead generation, capacity development and after-sales services, to realise these objective, he adds.
“Nigeria’s IT market is growing at a significant pace and empowering our channel partners in the county and facilitating their growth is instrumental to Acer’s continued success. Acer commits to a significant increase in the level of support we provide to our partners to facilitate a dynamic business model that encourages them to be pro-active. Working together, we can capture an even more significant share of this growing, hugely exciting, IT market”, Mortazavi says coming amid the release of the three new products into the local market.
The Acer Iconia W700P tablet is powerful and ultra-responsive. It features a cradle that stands in portrait or landscape view to provide various usage modes, as well as a Bluetooth keyboard to keep users productive anytime, anywhere.
With a third generation Intel Core processor, the tablet ensures faster, smarter and more efficient performance, while the 11.6” full HD IPS display features 10 point touch and provides consistent and accurate colour, combining it with a wide viewing angle, up to 178°, for better sharing information and group viewing, the company says.
The Iconia W510P, designed for busy professionals looking for a highly mobile device to carry and travel with, offers more than performance and longer battery life. It also provides the flexibility to adapt to various usage scenarios and the reliability offered by compliance with enterprise level security standards.
“Be it a video conference, taking notes during a meeting or simply giving the final touches to an important document, the Iconia W510P, thanks to its hybrid design, is an excellent device to improve working on the go”, Acer says.
The Acer Aspire S7 Series, the thinnest and lightest of the Ultrabooks, has been hailed as one of the most exciting Windows 8-based touch Ultrabook. As thin as a Smartphone, the S7 is an iconic combination of power and beauty. The uses of straight lines, glossy white glass, electro-luminescent lighting and anodized aluminum have culminated in an Ultrabook that champions cutting-edge technology and innovative design.
According to Mortazavi, the driving force behind the innovation is to meet the sophisticated needs of Acer’s customers and to support their lifestyle, particularly their businesses.
“Acer is an innovative company which seeks to meet the expectations of her loyal customers wherever they are. That’s why on a regular basis, we launch new products specifically to address identified needs of our customers. Nigeria is a market we have been servicing well over the years and we plan to do more with the introduction of innovative products tailor-made to improve our customers’ lives”, Mortazavi adds.
