Agora Policy has launched Policy Registry, a digital platform designed to make Nigeria’s public policy documents more accessible, searchable and actionable for researchers, journalists, policymakers, businesses and citizens.

Available at PolicyRegistry.org, the online repository consolidates laws, regulations, executive orders, budgets, treaties and sector-specific policy documents into a single searchable platform, addressing the longstanding challenge of locating authoritative government documents scattered across multiple ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).

The launch comes amid growing demand for easier access to official policy documents as governments increasingly rely on digital platforms to publish laws, regulations and policy frameworks affecting key sectors of the economy.

As Nigeria continues to roll out reforms across areas such as the economy, digital transformation, energy, education and public finance, centralised digital repositories are emerging as important tools for promoting transparency, accountability and informed public participation in policymaking.

“It brings together laws, regulations, budgets, treaties and sector-specific policy documents in one organised space,” Agora Policy says, “removing the friction that researchers, analysts, journalists and policymakers face when trying to find authoritative policy information.”

“Policy Registry is a document library built to make public policy accessible, searchable and actionable,” Agora Policy says on the platform.

“It brings together laws, regulations, budgets, treaties and sector-specific policy documents in one organised space,” Agora Policy says, “removing the friction that researchers, analysts, journalists and policymakers face when trying to find authoritative policy information.”

A review of the platform by Technology Times shows that Policy Registry features a search-first interface that enables users to browse policy documents across more than 100 sectors and thematic areas, including finance and the economy, education, health, agriculture, petroleum, power, trade and investment.

Beyond document discovery, users can bookmark, download and share policy documents, subscribe to policy updates and access insights on public policy developments.

The repository also hosts a collection of recently published policy resources, including Executive Order No. 9 of 2026, the 2026 Fiscal Policy Measures Circular, the Nigeria Industrial Policy 2026 and documents related to the ongoing constitutional amendment process.

According to Agora Policy, the platform is intended to serve as a trusted repository for discovering and accessing verified public policy documents, thereby supporting evidence-based research and informed decision-making.

The initiative could significantly reduce the time researchers, journalists and businesses spend searching across multiple government websites for official documents. Policymakers, civil society organisations and private sector players may also benefit from a central repository that simplifies the tracking of regulatory developments and comparison of policy initiatives across sectors.

The launch reflects a broader shift towards digital governance and open access to public information, with governments and policy institutions increasingly leveraging technology to improve transparency and citizen engagement.

Agora Policy, an Abuja-based think tank, focuses on improving governance through evidence-based research, policy dialogue and public engagement. The organisation conducts research on governance, the economy, security and social development while promoting practical policy solutions for Nigeria.

With the introduction of Policy Registry, Agora Policy is extending that mission into the digital space by creating a searchable knowledge platform aimed at making official policy documents easier to access, understand and use.
