Bharti Airtel has forged tie with US technology giant, IBM in what both companies describe as a move to promote next generation service deploying cutting-edge technology.
The co-operation between the companies will see IBM manage Airtel’s infrastructure and application services and offers Airtel greater flexibility to scale services in over 20 countries across Africa and Asia in the next 5 years.
Speaking on the alliance Gopal Vittal, MD and CEO, Bharti Airtel India & South Asia said, “as we embark on the next phase of Airtel’s growth journey, I am confident that the agreement with IBM will help us offer innovative and cutting edge products and services to our customers, enabling us achieve our vision of being the most loved brand.”
Airtel and IBM has maintained a cordial relationship in he last one decade and the companies said they hope to keep up their partnership in coming years.
