Airtel Nigeria lauds employees for a decade of service

Lagos. July 17, 2012. Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs, Osondu Nwokoro and Director of Corporate Communications & CSR, Emeka Oparah, were among 20 employees that were celebrated recently by Airtel Nigeria for 10 years of dedicated and meritorious service to the mobile phone company.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Rajan Swaroop commended the recipients of the Long Service Awards, for their commitment and contributions to the growth of the organization.
“As an employer of choice, we have developed robust programmes to retain and motivate our employees just as we are committed to building an organization that will be managed by loyal and highly motivated Nigerians. Today, we rejoice with our colleagues who have put in so much effort and time in building this company and we thank them immensely for their good work,” he says.
At a colourful event held at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, hundreds of Airtel staff gathered to cheer and rejoice with their colleagues who have attained the one decade mark with the company, Airtel Nigeria said in a statement today adding that each of the awardees received a plaque of honour and an expensive gift voucher.
The other award recipients of the 2012 Airtel Long Service Awards were Obianuju Kuye, Manager: International Carrier Services; Folake Ogunbanjo, Senior Manager: Special Projects; Evelyn Ezomo, Manager: Voice VAS & Content; Joseph Ebhomielen, Officer: Talent Development & Engagement; Folayemi Balogun, Manager: HR & Admin; Seun Keyede, Manager: Sales Logistics and Doris Okogwu, Assistant Manager: KM&VOC, Operations.
Others include: Stanley Sampson, Administrative Assistant & Record Keeper, Finance; Tayo Oladimeji, General Manager: Revenue Assurance; Sarwiyat Rahaman, Senior Manager, Business Excellence; Ifeoma Azogu, Regional Marketing Manager, North; Godfrey Efeurhobo, Regional Operations Director, South Region; Adebukola Oni, Territory Sales Manager, Lagos; Temitope Kade, Territory Sales Manager, West Region; Onwuka Aki, Territory Sales Manager, South Region; Ali Wali, Manager: Trade Marketing, North Region; Jeremiah Essien, Zonal Business Manager, North Basin and Prudence Azubike, Manager: Showrooms, North West.
