Airtel Nigeria will launch its 4G network in Lagos next month and other major cities like Abuja, Port Harcourt and Owerri soon, the mobile phone company says.
Segun Ogunsanya, Managing Director, Airtel Nigeria, says that more cities will be added when he spoke at the launch of the new 4G service in Ibadan, Oyo state.
With the new 4G service, Airtel is restructuring the communication industry with this launch in Ibadan and the reason for choosing the city is the past record which it has with the communication industry, the company’s MD says. He also assures that the new 4G service would guarantee faster browsing and download capacity for subscribers on the Airtel network.
For Airtel, the plan is to introduce the right technology and there is no giving up on that until all the major cities in Nigeria are covered as the service aids economic activities in Ibadan and other cities, according to Ogunsanya. Airtel’s 4G network will have the largest coverage in Nigeria Ogunsanya also explains.
