AITEC Banking and Mobile Banking West Africa, will hold on July 15-16, 2014 at Eko Hotel in Lagos, organisers of the West Africa’s frontline banking forum have announced.
The seventh edition of the forum themed, “The Customer is King – and Queen”, will address the key issues faced by the region’s increasingly dynamic financial services sector, according to AITEC Africa, organisers of the event.
Some of the speakers, presenters and panelists at the event include ‘Niyi Ajao, Executive Director, Technology & Operations, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS); Kofi Dadzie, CEO, Rancard Solutions of Ghana; Derrydean Dadzie, Chief Doer, DreamOval Limited, Ghana; Samuel Adasoga, CEO, Thoughtstudios, Nigeria; Princess Clark, Pioneer of Worry Free Living, Financial Consultant, Columnist & Commentator USA; Chibuzo Ene, CEO, Edge Financial Systems Group, Kenya and Obi Emetarom, MD/CEO, AppZone, Nigeria.

The event targets ICT managers and professionals in the banking and financial services sector, the regulators, policy-makers, high-level managers such as CEO, COO and CFO level in banks. Also within target are MFIs and telecoms operators, innovators and service providers active in the financial services sector, NGOs and civil society organisations directly involved with delivering banking or micro finance services in rural areas and media representatives, according to AITEC Africa.
According to organisers, the forum is expected to generate increased knowledge among top managers and professionals in the COMESA banking sector of latest international trends and technologies and their application in the region and increased awareness among high-level non-technical managers in the sector of the vital role ICT has to play in their business strategies – and the range of technologies and systems available.
