Lagos. January 31, 2013: Research In Motion (RIM) has announced that the new BlackBerry App World for the newly launched BB 10 will not just be an App store, but will henceforth include music and video content from all major studios, labels and broadcasters.

RIM says that the new BlackBerry World will feature an extensive catalogue of songs as well as movies and TV shows.

Most of the movies will be available on BlackBerry World on the same day they are released on DVD, with next day availability for many of the current TV shows, says RIM.

Frank Boulben, Chief Marketing Officer at RIM, notes that “music and video content is an integral part of a rich mobile experience. People want easy and convenient access to their favorite music, movies and TV shows wherever they are.”

He adds that, “RIM is committed to working with content providers to bring the best, most up-to-date content to our customers with BlackBerry 10, and to make it easy for them to get what they want.”
