ASUS has introduced the Zenbook A14 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, claiming it as the world’s lightest Copilot+ PC14-inch laptop, weighing under one kilogramme.
Packed with AI capabilities and powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series processor, ASUS says the Zenbook A14 is built for portability, durability, and seamless multitasking with its multi day battery.
The Zenbook A14 introduces a chassis made entirely from Ceraluminum, a proprietary material ASUS describes as 30% lighter and three times stronger than anodized aluminum. The company says the laptop has passed extensive durability tests, including scratch resistance from metal objects, shock testing from a 50 cm drop, and colour wear testing with over 18,000 repetitive rubs.

To address privacy concerns, ASUS has integrated features like Adaptive Lock and Adaptive Dimming, which use AI to lock the device or adjust brightness when users step away. The Microsoft Pluton security chip provides hardware-level protection against cyber threats.
ASUS: Zenbook A14 features advanced AI-powered functions like adaptive multitasking
“This robust testing ensures that Zenbook A14 remains scratch-free, resilient to shocks, and maintains its pristine looks, providing users with a laptop that is both lightweight and exceptionally durable,” ASUS says in a statement.
The laptop, available in two nature-inspired colours, Zabriskie Beige and Iceland Gray, has an impressive 32-hour continuous video playback battery life on a single charge. This is made possible by the energy-efficient Snapdragon X Series processor and a 70Wh battery.
The Zenbook A14 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series processor, specifically designed for ARM-based laptops. This processor features a Hexagon NPU capable of 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS), enabling advanced AI-powered functions such as task optimization, real-time performance insights, and adaptive multitasking.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Series has been gaining traction as an energy-efficient alternative to Intel and AMD processors.
ASUS says the Zenbook A14 also integrates Snapdragon Seamless, which ASUS says, “creates a cross-device ecosystem that allows users to switch between compatible Snapdragon-powered devices without interruption.”
Features like Windows Phone Link enable users to answer calls, transfer files, and even use their phones as webcams directly from the laptop.
The Zenbook A14 boasts a 14-inch Full HD OLED display with a 90% screen-to-body ratio, delivering vivid colors and deep contrast. ASUS says the screen is certified for 100% DCI-P3 colour accuracy and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600, making it suitable for content creators and entertainment enthusiasts.
For audio, the laptop includes Dolby Atmos-certified speakers and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound technology. According to ASUS, these features provide ultra-low-latency audio, advanced noise cancellation, and a rich sound experience, whether for calls or media playback.
To address privacy concerns, ASUS has integrated features like Adaptive Lock and Adaptive Dimming, which use AI to lock the device or adjust brightness when users step away. The Microsoft Pluton security chip provides hardware-level protection against cyber threats.
The user-friendly design includes a larger Smart Gesture-enabled touchpad, smudge-resistant keycaps, and an ASUS EasyLift hinge for stable screen positioning. According to ASUS, the comprehensive suite of ports—including USB4 and HDMI 2.1—eliminates the need for adapters.
The Zenbook A14 is expected to launch globally later this year, starting at $899, according to the tech company.
