Diamond Bank says it has partnered with major players in the tech space to launch a platform dedicated to tech entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations, Tech Fest.
Speaking at the unveiling of Tech Fest in Lagos, Uzoma Dozie Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Bank says, “Tech Fest, is a platform that we can share with our customers to help them get the best of technology and to partner to run better businesses.”
Tech Fest, which is slated for May 15 -16, in Lagos will hold in partnership with MTN, Visa, Microsoft, NIBSS, Deloitte and Touche, Interswitch and Beat FM”, according to a statement released by Diamond Bank.
The bank CEO says the event will showcase technological solutions for businesses, connect technology providers with new markets and provide access-to-market opportunities for tech start-ups, among others.
“If there is one thing we have learned at Diamond, it is that you can’t do everything on your own and you need to collaborate if you are going to win and be the best at what you do”, Dozie says.
Expressing his company’s excitement to partner with Tech Fest, Emezino Afiegbe, Country Director, Visa said “We are happy to collaborate with reputable firms like Diamond, MTN and others to make Tech Fest a success”.
“We are here to provide support to retail customers and consumers to make payment seamlessly, securely and as quick as possible”, Afiegbe says adding that payments can be made quickly and safely as GDP will grow for not just the country but there will be prosperity in the region.
“It all starts here and we are happy to be part of this journey as we go into the future” the Visa exec adds.
In similar vein, Tomi Ogunlesi, Corporate Brand Manager at Interswitch expressed appreciation as one of the partners of Tech Fest. “I call it TECHFEST 2018 because we believe the conversation will be sustained.
