Aviat Networks, MTN Nigeria expand services contract

Aviat Network, a leading expert in microwave network solution says it has renewed its management partnership with MTN Nigeria, the leading mobile phone company in the country.

Under the alliance, Aviat network will help oversee the flow of material into the company-controlled facilities on behalf of MTN Nigeria.

The two companies has maintained a mutual understanding in time past and its looking forward to extend the relationship as they seal the alliance, the companies announced.

Yahaya Ibrahim, Senior Manager Core and Transmission Implementation, NID-Network Group, MTN Nigeria says.”This is an opportunity to work more closely with our partner on planning and deploying Aviat equipment into the MTN Nigeria network.”

He says this new agreement demonstrates confidence in Aviat’s capabilities to efficiently manage the mobile phone company’s inventory under which “the agreement reduces our overall costs and pain points and improves visibility to better plan future inventory requirements.”

Also speaking on the agreement Heinz Stumpe, Aviat Networks Chief Sales Officer and Senior Vice President adds that, “this agreement with MTN Nigeria lays the foundation to offer additional managed telecom services across our overall customer base.It opens a new source of business for us upon which we intend to build.”
