Balogun wants computers in schools amid launch of Brian Tablet PCs

Olatunji Balogun, the Chairman of Brian Integrated Systems, makers of the Brain range of computers and one of the indigenous original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the country is launching a fresh range of Tablet PCs into the Nigerian market after the company’s foray into that market segment about a year ago.

His hope is that his company, Brian, which has teamed up with Intel, the global chips maker and Microsoft, the global software giant to launch new Tablets PCs will be a key driver in deliver e-learning tools to the educational sector in Nigeria.

Brian is asking Nigerians to embrace “local content” and says that its Tablet PCs will match any foreign brand while the company’s local support cannot be rivalled by any foreign competition.

In an exclusive interview with Technology Times today, Balogun backed by his team, unfolds the vision behind Brian Tablet PCs and plans to make the tech company become a key player in Nigeria.
