
Henry Seriake Dickson, Governor of Bayelsa State has warned the public to beware of a fake Facebook account purportedly owned by him and being used to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
“The Governor does not have a Facebook account and what is seen as the Governor’s account, is a creation of persons with dubious and criminal intentions and should be disregarded by users of Facebook and the internet generally”, Bayelsa State Government said in a statement.
The government further advised the public to disregard any Facebook message purported to be emanating from Governor Seriake Dickson’s account.
“Already, the security agencies have been alerted to track down the perpetrators of this fraudulent act and be brought to book as soon as possible,’ the statement reads.
