The Benue State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ENVNT Technologies of Saudi Arabia, to drive digital transformation in the state.

The agreement, at the just concluded GITEX Global Summit, aims to digitally transform the state, Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor announced, noting that the MoU will expand digital infrastructure in Benue.

This Benue State-ENVNT pact, which is expected to create empowerment and drive economic growth in the state, will also provide training for citizens in digital skills through the Benue Digital Infrastructure Company PLC (BDIC).

Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State described the partnership with ENVNT Technologies as a critical step toward realising the state’s vision of a truly digital Benue. “It’s about creating opportunities, empowering our people, and laying the groundwork for sustained economic growth,” the Governor after signing the MoU, while noting that the initiative aims to transform Benue into a real digital environment.

Hamad Al-Saleh, the founder and chairman of ENVNT Technologies, reaffirmed his company’s commitment to bringing technological expertise to Benue State. He also emphasised the significance of this partnership, believing it will position Benue State at the forefront of digital transformation in Nigeria. “We are excited to bring our expertise to Benue. Together, we can make Benue a model for digital transformation in Nigeria and beyond,” he stated.

The implementation of the partnership will begin in 90 days and will focus on digital infrastructure, digital application development, digital policy formulation, as well as digital skills training and capacity building.
