The Borno State Government has reviewed the construction work at the Benishiekh Digital Literacy Centre in Kaga Local Government Area ahead of the operational launch of the facility.
Engr. Mohammed Wanori, Executive Secretary of the Borno State Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Development Agency, who undertook an assessment visit to the newly-constructed Benishiekh Digital Literacy Centre on June 24 said the visit aimed to evaluate the construction progress and prepare for its upcoming operational launch.
“The centre, aimed at fostering digital skills and education among the local population, holds significant promise for enhancing technological literacy in the region,” Wanori said during the facility visit. Wanori, accompanied by board members, Dr. Mustapha Tijjani and Zannah Lawan Ajimi, jointly inspected the facilities and infrastructure of the Benishiekh Digital Literacy Centre.


Wanori said the second visit was part of the agency’s broader initiative to integrate digital education into formal schooling to ensure that students have access to modern technological resources.
Wanori reiterated the agency’s dedication to ensuring that the Centre meets the highest standards of functionality and accessibility. He expressed satisfaction with the current construction progress and highlighted the agency’s plans to finalise the Center’s operational readiness in the coming month.
In addition to the Benishiekh Digital Literacy Center, the executive secretary also visited the Computer Center of Aisha Buhari Model School in Benishiekh.
