The partnership is aimed at making P&G’s products easily accessible to consumers on BuyCommonThings.com’s very convenient online retail platform, the companies said.

Olumide Olusanya, Chief Execution Officer for BuyCommonThings.com, says that the partnership was a natural fit as online retailing is set to play a critical role in the future of the FMCG industry in Nigeria.

The reason for this is the ease with which consumers can procure their essential FMCG products through platforms such as BuyCommonThings.com, he adds.

“Online retailing, as deployed by BuyCommonThings.com, allows for delivering of better value to end-users; for example, convenience, low pricing, shorter time lag between when a product is needed and when it can be utilized, personalized service, as well as wider selection under one roof”, Olusanya adds.

Chioma Ede, P&G’s Specialty Channels Leader adds that recent findings indicate a growing presence of Nigerians online with a growing number of consumers doing their shopping online.

This informed the P&G’s partnership with BuyCommonThings.com which “is a strategic alliance to enable convenience and the delivery of more value to P&G’s cherished customers with BuyCommonThings.com’s rapidly growing platform of online retailing.”
