The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has said that a major upgrade of its Company Registration Portal (CRP) has caused downtime of the service.
This essential upgrade, CAC said in a statement, will enhance the efficiency of post-incorporation processes and introducing new functionalities to better serve users.
CAC admits that the ongoing optimisation has led to temporary network slowdowns, occasional downtimes, and a backlog in processing both pre-incorporation and post-incorporation applications.
The CAC, which has acknowledged these disruptions, apologised for any inconvenience caused to users of the service.
CAC assured users that its team is working to complete the optimisation as quickly as possible. “We are committed to resolving these issues promptly and appreciate the patience of all our users during this period,” according to the agency.
The Commission highlighted the long-term benefits of the upgrade, promising a more streamlined, reliable, and user-friendly portal experience once the optimisation is complete.
“The optimisation, when completed, is expected to give end-users pleasant customer experience,” CAC said explaining that applications are being prioritised, while appealing to users to remain patient as the agency attends to the backlog.
