Camera lets you solve Maths ‘photographically’
PhotoMath, a new camera calculator that enables you solve Mathematical expressions by pointing the camera towards the expression has been introduced.
PhotoMath instantly displays the correct result, according to the developer.
You can see the full step-by-step solution to a mathematical expression by pressing the steps button. Use it to get help when you’re stuck solving a math problem. Children can use it as a tool which helps them to learn Mathematics, while parents can use it to check their children’s homework.
The app currently supports basic arithmetics, fractions, decimal numbers, linear equations and several functions like logarithms.
Support for new math is constantly added in new app releases, according to the developer who says that the app does not support handwritten text as “only printed problems from Mathematics textbooks are supported.”
The free app works with Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.
