Lagos. April 10, 2013: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has called on eligible vendors to submit their proposal for the implementation an intelligent Data Centre Infrastructure Automation/Management system in its Head Office in Abuja.
The apex bank says the project is being pursued to fulfil its vision of being the best in class among the world’s Central Banks.
CBN says it has deployed IT infrastructure and enterprise applications to support its core business processes and enable delivery of its strategic objectives.
The bank says it is currently retrofitting its Data Centre in its Head Office and two other locations to achieve high availability, efficiency, effectiveness, ease of operation and resource provisioning in the sector.
CBN says it is accepting sealed bids in two lots from bidders for the Installation of Data Centre Infrastructure Automation/Management (Lot 1) and Network Operations Centre (Lot2).
“This request for proposal is extended to a set of eligible and competent vendors. Proposals from single vendors or from multiple vendors working together as a team will both be considered,” CBN announced.
The Apex bank notes that the ideal vendors should have certified knowledge verifiable capacity and experience in data centre industry while adding that experience in the public or banking sector is preferred but not mandatory.
Interested and competent vendors willing to work with CBN must submit the following documents for verification: evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), evidence of payment of tax for the last three years as and when due, comprehensive company profile including registered address, functional contact, verifiable evidence of similar jobs successfully executed in the past.
Other requirements include reference letter from a bank stating the financial ability to carry out such services, current company’s audited statement of account, certificate of Compliance issued by the National Pension Commission as evidence of fulfilling the employer’s obligation to employees with respect to pensions, evidence of payment of training contributions to Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and evidence of Registration with Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC)
All interested vendors who possess the above requirements are accepted to collect bidding documents on the payment of a non-refundable fee of N50, 000 from the CBN Head Office in Abuja.
