Coderina, an independent non-profit organisation in the Ed-Tech sector, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Federal Capital Territory on information and communication technology (ICT).

The Mou with the FCT Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation is a partnership that represents a significant milestone for Coderina, the organisation said, in its mission to promote ICT development, youth innovation, and entrepreneurship in Africa. Coderina aims to leverage technology as an enabler for inclusivity and empowerment.

Femi Niyi, Chairman of Coderina Board of Trustees, said that “this collaboration reinforces the importance of partnerships between the public sector and the third sector.

Coderina: Our partnership will empowers FCT youth in frontiers of ICT

“By working together, we can leverage our respective strengths and resources to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people in the FCT area and beyond.”

This partnership seeks to bring together resources to empower young people in the FCT region and advance the frontiers of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, 3D and Additive Manufacturing, and other emerging technologies.

Coderina is dedicated to driving innovation and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders, the organisation said bu supporting youth empowerment and fostering technological advancement.

“We invite individuals and organisations who share our vision to support our efforts and walk with us on this journey. Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a brighter future for our youth,” according to Niyi.

On his part, Dr Olobashola Kolawole, Director FCT Science and Innovation, said that “we are thrilled to embark on this collaborative journey with Coderina. We believe that technology has the power to transform lives and bridge gaps.

“Through this partnership, we will work together to empower young entrepreneurs, democratize access to knowledge, and drive innovation in emerging technologies.”

Under the partnership, Coderina and the FCT Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation said that they will make knowledge about emerging technologies more accessible to everyone, empower young entrepreneurs, and promote solutions and innovation on a large scale.

According to Coderina, “through the combination of resources and expertise, this collaboration aims to create impactful programs and initiatives that address the needs of the community and drive positive change.” Coderina said it strives to foster a more equitable society where everyone has an opportunity to succeed and contribute towards positive change through innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships.
