Dr. Omobola Johnson, the minister of communications technology will on October 28, at the ongoing 19th International Telecommunication Union’s Plenipotentiary Conference speak on the topic “Gender and ICTs: Why gender equality matters and where do we stand today?”
The CommTech minister will be discussing the topic on a panel consisting of Engida Getachew, Deputy Director-General, UNESCO; Ambassador Pamela Hamamoto, US Permanent Representative to UN in Geneva and leading international gender advocates from private industry and civil society.
The ITU’s Plenipotentiary Conference taking place in the Republic of Korea kicked off on October 20. It will end on November 7.
