Professor Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has been awarded a Fellow of the Renewable and Alternative Energy Society of Nigeria (RAESON) for his outstanding contributions to the advancements of renewable and alternative energy.
The Investiture took place recently at the 6th Annual and International Conference of RAESON where the NCC chief was represented by Fidelis Onah, the Director, Technical Standards and Network Integrity.
The conference that was themed “Renewable Energy in the National Energy Mix” examined challenges facing development, applicability and sustainability of renewable energy, relative to our environment and ecosystem. It also looked government’s attitude towards research and development in renewable energy seen as being capable of revolutionising the technological and industrial growth of Nigeria.
