The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced that its e-Nigeria conference will hold November 17-20, 2014, in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
The e-Nigeria conference is an annual international IT conference to leverage on current developments in global IT industry for our socio-economic development in Nigeria.
The proposed theme for the conference is “Creating Market Opportunities for Indigenous ICT Products and Services”.
According to the organisers, the conference has the objectives of identifying tech start-ups as well as ICT related research and innovations and showcasing them at international exhibitions.
It will also focus on grooming young innovators in the ICT sector and exposing them to investment opportunities while protecting their intellectual properties, enforcing policies targeted at improving the qualities of the indigenous ICT products and services for global competitiveness, according to NITDA.
The IT policy implementing agency also said that other objectives focused are exploring strategies for providing critical mass of employment through ideas, innovations and investment opportunities and creating one of the world’s most innovative and talented work-force through Nigerian content and entrepreneurial development.
