Airtel Nigeria and Opera Software have jointly launched a free service for customers of the mobile phone company looking for information on the deadly Ebola virus.
By zero-rating www.ebolafacts.com that provides educational information on Ebola, Airtel subscribers will be able to get access to vital information on their mobile phones without worrying about incurring data charges, the mobile phone company said.
By clicking the Ebola Info pass on the Airtel Nigeria mobile store, users will be directed to the URLs they can browse free to educate themselves on the virus.
Maurice Newa, Chief Commercial Officer, Airtel Nigeria, said the operator want to allow Nigerians access to relevant and up-to-date information that will deepen their understanding on matters on the Ebola virus and ultimately aid them to stay safe and healthy.
