Lagos State Government has launched a response website, www.lagosebolaresponse.org, to sensitise the general public on the deadly Ebola virus.
The website launched through the Lagos State Ministry of Health contains useful information about symptom and preventive measures to contain the virus which are also available for downloaded in PDF format.
The state’s response centre can be accessed via Twitter, Facebook and Youtube with the Twitter account already counting 485 followers while the Facebook page has over 765 likes at the time Technology Times visited the website.
The Lagos Ministry of Health has also launched a toll-free ebola helpline which can be reached by dialling 0800 EBOLA HELP (0800 326524357).
198 Nigerians have been traced to have contacted the virus, while 177 are in Lagos, 21 persons in Enugu are being watched, Labaran Maku, Minister of Information disclosed after the Federal Executive Meeting (FEC) on Wednesday.
