
According to statistics released by search engine giant, Google, the search for Ebola and related searches about it on the search engine rose to a record-breaking 2000% in the last one week.
The outbreak of the deadly epidemic in some West African countries including Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone is giving people major concern leading to searches like “Ebola”, “Ebola in Nigeria”, “Ebola symptoms” and “what is Ebola” on Google.
According to Google, the highest volume of searches for the epidemic came from Liberia.
