Mobile World Congress 2017 | EcoNet, Shell, Cisco, others win 2017 Glomo Awards

The GSMA has announced Econet Wireless, Shell, Cisco as winners in its 2017 Glomo Awards that featured tech innovations cutting across connected cars, mobile money, apps and wearables.

The GSMA also congratulated all winners of the 2017 Glomo Awards. Glomo Award hosts, TV presenters Suzi Perry and Ortis Deley, announced the awards during a series of ceremonies and Mobile World Live TV presentations throughout last week at the GSMA Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona.

The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with almost 300 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and internet companies, as well as organisations in adjacent industry sectors.

“Our congratulations to all of the winners and nominees of the GSMA’s Glomo Awards at Mobile World Congress this week,” Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer, GSMA, says. “The Glomo Awards truly showcase those companies and individuals that are driving innovation in the rapidly evolving mobile industry. We thank all of our entrants, judges, sponsors and partners for supporting the 2017 Glomo Awards.”
