Edo state Government has teamed up with Microsoft for the training of 500 students in secondary and tertiary schools to promote the use of technology in the state’s educational sector.
Under the plan, students to be selected for the scheme will be based on the results of competitions organised by the US technology company.
According to Microsoft, the use of modern technology has been seen as a tool that infuse classrooms with digital learning tools, such as computers and hand held devices and also builds 21st century skills among students.
A free practice session is underway for now until the competition date which is scheduled for May 13th-16th, 2014, the company said.
”We are using this medium to inform the students of Edo State secondary and tertiary schools between the ages of 13 and 22 that there will be an MOS competition” Microsoft added
