The Ekiti State Government says it will open its first innovation and technology hub today Monday, August 12, at the Obafemi Awolowo Civic Centre in Ado-Ekiti.
The hub, according to Seun Fakuade Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Digital Economy, is geared towards catalysing local economic growth, attracting investments, generating employment opportunities, and elevating the overall prosperity of Ekiti State.
According to the Commissioner, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to bring together entrepreneurs, researchers, developers, and investors, providing them with access to cutting-edge infrastructure, mentorship, funding prospects, and a platform to translate concepts into thriving enterprises.
Since its inception on October 1, 1996, Ekiti State has been a tropical haven nestled between the southern borders of Kwara and Kogi States, to the east of Osun State, and bounded by Ondo State in the east and south. The state has a vast land area of 5887.890sq km and 16 local government councils.
