Enugu State animation training targets 400 youths

The Enugu State Government has announced the launch of Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Programme to equip an estimated 400 youths with skills in animation.

The Enugu State Government has announced the launch of Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Programme to equip an estimated 400 youths with skills in animation.

The Enugu State Government has announced the launch of Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Programme to equip an estimated 400 youths with skills in animation.

According to the state government, the animation training programme organised partnership with Magic City Labs, a subsidiary of Magic Labs Studio. aims to provide 400 young Enugu residents with on-demand animation skills.

The programme, planned to cover animation, 3D Motion Design, and Visual effects (VFX), will offer a unique opportunity for participants to gain practical experience and a global recognised certificate in the animation industry that grows by 17% annually, Enugu State Government says.

Through this initiative, the Enugu State Government says it aims to empower youths by giving 80% subsidy on training free.Upon completion, participants will be equipped with technical skills and portfolio that will show their talents to potential employers.

“The Enugu Magic Lab Animation Training is committed to empowering our youth with the digital skills needed to thrive in today’s fast-evolving world” Dr. Peter Mbah, Governor of Enugu State says.

The animation programme is open to residents and indigenes of Enugu State aged 16-35 with a passion for animation, storytelling, design or visual effects, and they will be trained by experts from Magic Labs Studio, a world-renowned academy which says that its clients have been featured on Disney, Cartoon Network and Netflix.
