Etisalat Football Club has been crowned champions of the 2014 Nigeria Telecommunications Games, after trashing MTN Football Club by 3 goals to 0 at the Legacy Pitch, Lagos National Stadium.

The finals, played over the weekend, saw MTN Football Club putting up a good fight, but not enough to stand the force of the defending champions.

Speaking at the end of the match, Matthew Willsher, Chief Executive Officer, Etisalat Nigeria said “it was a great match with a fantastic show of sportsmanship from both teams. There just had to be one winner and clearly the better team won. I applaud the skills displayed by the Etisalat FC players, it justifies the months of hardwork and dedication they put into their training sessions. As a business, we are proud of them”
