Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has released HD Photos among new features coming to Facebook Messenger to enhance user experience.
One of the key updates includes the ability to send “HD photos” within Messenger, similar to the feature recently introduced in WhatsApp.
Users can now toggle on the HD option before sending an image, ensuring higher quality for visual content. HD photos received in Messenger will be tagged with an “HD” label for easy identification, the company said.

Additionally, Messenger users can now create shared albums with friends and family directly within group chats. This feature allows multiple users to contribute photos and videos to a collective album, fostering collaboration and easy sharing of memories. Users can also rename albums and manage content by adding or deleting photos/videos as needed.
The shared album feature offers full control to all participants in the group chat, allowing them to view, add, delete, and download content from the shared album. Accessing shared albums is streamlined through the chat interface by tapping on the group chat name, navigating to Media, and locating the shared albums section. These updates will be progressively rolled out to users over the coming weeks, enhancing the overall multimedia sharing experience on Facebook Messenger.
