The Federal Government has launched a new Freedom of Information (FOI) website for the delivery of public sector services to Nigerians in a major push in its e-government drive.

The FoI website, an initiative of the Bureau of Public Service was unveiled as the pioneering national portal for delivery of public sector services through the dedicated portal found on the government website address, www.bpsr.gov.ng.

”We are proud to be the first government agency in the country to have an electronic platform for receiving Freedom of Information requests, BPSR is indeed grateful for the support of R2K for the laudable support and initiative”, he said.

According to him, the website FOI Portal will allow the public submit real time online FOI requests, receive feedback and also make provision for appeals as well as reviewing cases of any wrongful denial of information by BPSR officials.
