Google is introducing new tools for professionals to work and communicate under plans to enhance Google Workspace with AI.

One of them is Google Vids, an advanced video creation app powered by AI, made for the workplace.

With Google Vids, users can effortlessly produce high-quality videos by harnessing the power of artificial intelligence. The app generates a storyboard that can be easily customised, allowing users to choose from various templates and styles.

Additionally, Google Vids seamlessly integrates stock videos, images, and background music to piece together the first draft of the video. Users can further enhance their creations by selecting from a range of pre-set voiceovers or using their own voice to deliver their message effectively.

Google Vids, which will be released to Workspace Labs in June, promises to be a game-changer for professionals looking to elevate their storytelling capabilities in the workplace.

In addition to Google Vids, Google is introducing several other enhancements to Workspace, including Translate for Me in Google Meet. This feature, slated for release in June, automatically detects and translates captions into the user’s preferred language during video calls. With support for 52 new languages, this update aims to facilitate seamless communication among Meet users worldwide.

Furthermore, Google is rolling out new add-ons for Workspace, including AI Meetings and Messaging and AI Security. These add-ons offer advanced features such as automatic file classification and protection in Google Drive, as well as enhanced meeting and messaging capabilities.

Other notable updates include new features in Google Sheets and Docs, such as tables formatting and full-bleed cover images, as well as improvements to Gmail mobile, including voice prompting for email composition and instant polish features.
