Lagos. February 4, 2014: Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti State will this week host a four-day event with social media influencers in a novel approach of connecting the Internet community to promote “participatory governance.”[blockquote right=”pull-right”]The state government announced that Fayemi will be having a no holds barred session with key social media actors including “bloggers, activsits, factivists and influencers” in continuation of the tradition of participatory governance.[/blockquote]

This time around, the event billed to hold February 6 to 9, 2014 at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort, Ikogosi-Ekiti, Ekiti State, will afford the social media attendees to interact with the State Governor.
“This foremost, open and frank interactive discussion forum will look at the advancements, scorecard, challenges and shortcomings of the government under Kayode Fayemi over the past forty months”, according to the announcement.
Under the plan, the forum offers a rare opportunity for Governor Fayemi to interface with the blogosphere and vice-versa.
The session will feature over 100 participants both physically and virtually through the following platforms; Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google Plus.
