Guarantee Trust Bank (GTBank) will close one of its branches in Apapa area of Lagos indefinitely from May 1, 2014 in what may mark a fresh drive by the bank to encourage its customers to embrace e-banking.
This was contained in a statement send out by the bank to its customers.
GTBank customers will no longer be able to undertake banking activities in the closed branch, the bank said while encouraging them to embrace e-banking in carrying out their banking activities.
The statement listed the e-banking platforms available to customers as alternative to include Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Internet Banking portal and SMS banking.
Banking transactions can also be performed via the GTBank Mobile App, which can be downloaded through an app on a mobile device.
