GTBank has announced that all its branches across Nigeria will close early at noon starting from Friday, October 11, following an upgrade of its banking systems.

This information was disclosed by the bank in a statement released earlier today.

The decision comes as the bank undergoes a core upgrade to transition to new banking application systems.

“As part of our commitment to bringing meaningful improvements to the lives of our customers by leveraging technology, we will begin the transition from our current Core Banking Application to a new robust suite of Finacle Core Banking Applications Systems,” according to GTBank.

The bank encourages its customers to use its digital services during this period for their banking needs which will be limited to bill payments, transfers, and data/airtime purchases, while assuring customers that branches will re-open at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 14.

All GTBank’s digital channels will experience a service shutdown for 11 hours, starting at 10 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, until 9 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, the bank said.
