HMD Global, formerly known as Nokia, has launched the HMD Skyline, a smartphone promising users new features including an easy-to-repair screen.
The device features the new Gen2 repairability technology, which allows users to swiftly replace cracked screens themselves.
“Most of us know the feeling of dropping a phone and cracking the screen. It sucks, quite frankly,” the phone maker, HMD says. “But with HMD Skyline, it’s not that big of a deal. It’s got Gen2 repairability, meaning we took something that was easy and made it even easier. Pop off the back cover and you’re in. Then removing the screws and replacing the screen in a breeze.”

Display: The HMD Skyline boasts a 6.55-inch pOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a 20:9 aspect ratio provide a vibrant and immersive viewing experience.
Camera System: The device features a powerful camera setup. The rear camera includes a 108 MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and a 50 MP telephoto lens. Battery and Charging: The smartphone features a replaceable 4600 mAh battery, providing up to 48 hours of battery life. It supports 33W wired charging, 15W magnetic wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging, and is Qi2 certified.
Storage and RAM: The HMD Skyline comes with internal storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB, expandable via a microSD card up to 512 GB. The device offers 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM for seamless multitasking and performance.
