HOTWAV has launched a new contender in the rugged smartphone market, the HOTWAV Cyber 15, specially built for users who lead active lifestyles or work in demanding environments.

A major feature of the rugged smartphones is its durability, and the Cyber 15 boasts impressive durability certifications.

According to the manufacturer, it carries an IP68 and IP69K rating, meaning that the smartphone is resistant to dust, submersion in water, and even high-pressure from water jets. The the HOTWAV Cyber 15 also meets the MIL-STD-810H standard for shock resistance. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 offers additional protection to the screen from scratches and everyday wear and tear.

HOTWAV Cyber 15: Beyond the ruggedness

Battery life is another strong point for the Cyber 15. The 6280mAh battery offers extended use, when it needs to be charged, the phone supports 33W fast charging. There’s even 10W reverse charging, so you can use the Cyber 15 to provide a quick power boost to other devices.

What truly sets the Cyber 15 apart is its unique secondary touch screen located at the back of the phone below the main camera. According to HOTWAV, this feature allows you to control the camera app, view photos, and access other functions without having to use the main screen, which can be especially useful when the phone is wet or dirty. Another interesting fact about the secondary touch screen is that it displays essential information at a glance, such as time, battery status, step count, and notifications.

Moving to the cameras, the the HOTWAV Cyber 15 boasts a high-resolution 200MP Samsung ISOCELL lens as its main shooter. This promises exceptional detail and clarity in photos. On the front, a 32MP Sony IMX616 camera ensures high-quality selfies.

In terms of processing power, the the HOTWAV Cyber 15 runs on Android 13 and is powered by a Helio G99 processor. It comes with 12GB of RAM and 12GB of virtual RAM, along with 256GB of storage that can be expanded further to 2TB via a microSD card. The phone supports various connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC for contactless payments.

The HOTWAV Cyber 15 is priced at N488,300.00 NGN on the maker’s official website.
