MTN Nigeria wants mobile phone users to further secure their experience and has introduced a security number to do just that.[blockquote right=”pull-right”]The security code essentially protect a customer’s phone line from fraudulent activities; gives access to self service channel and eases the process around sensitive services such as MTN SIM swap. [/blockquote]

The MTN security number is a 16-digit number that is unique to each phone number. It has a 12-digit customer identification number and a 4-digit Security Key.

This unique number will secure your mobile account and prevent third parties from making transactions on your account.

It will also enable you access self-service channels through an advanced system that requires the MTN Security Number before any service transactions is processed on the MTN Nigeria network.

The security code essentially protect a customer’s phone line from fraudulent activities; gives access to self-service channel and eases the process around sensitive services such as MTN SIM swap.
