Huawei took to the stage in London early April to unveil the widely-anticipated Huawei P9 plus, its latest Android flagship smartphone featuring a dual lens camera.
The flagship device which the Chinese tech company says is co-engineered by Leica, a German optics enterprise and manufacturer of Leica cameras, comes in two versions: single SIM and dual SIM option.
CAMERA
The most intriguing feature of Huawei P9 plus is its camera which its maker says is a blend of superior hardware and software with Leica’s dual lenses that enable users to capture the highest picture quality even in low lighting.

The device comes with 12MP rear camera with dual lens and 8MP front camera with while the RGB and monochrome sensors combined with the image-smart 5.0 technology of the Huawei P9 plus device is designed to achieve a professional camera-like photo quality .
Also, the P9 plus’ ‘hybrid focus’ technology is designed to take photos with incredible speed, depth and clarity using laser focus, depth measurement and contrast.
DESIGN

The two versions comes in 152.3mm x 75.3mm x 6.98mm body dimension and both weigh about 162g
DISPLAY
It feature a 5.5-inch FHD, AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolutions. Huawei says its P9 plus display is designed with increased colour saturation and higher contrast ratio for an even visual experience.
AUDIO
The Huawei P9 Plus delivers a high frequency audio performance- when used in vertical mode, the P9 plus’ earpiece acts as a tweeter and works with its lower to mid-range speakers to produce a frequency range of up to 20 Khz and also, in landscape mode, the device also gives users ultimate experience.

The maker of Huawei P9 plus says its custom chipset is powered by Kirin 955 (64-bit) which is embedded with one dual-core ISP for fast merging, optimized colour and noise management, and a dedicated DSP for post processing.
The device also features octa-core (4 x 2.5GHZ A72 + 4 x 1.8GHz A53).

MEMORY SPACE
It feature 4GB Random Access Memory (RAM) and 64 GB Read Only Memory (ROM)
CONNECTIVITY
They both feature Wi-Fi 2.4G/5G, a/b/g/n/ac with Wi-Fi direct support, high speed USB Type C. Wi-Fi direct support and also support BLE.

PRESS TOUCH
The both versions of the P9 plus support press touch and smart controller. Huawei says the P9 plus which builds on the company’s screen pressure recognition technology, offers enhanced press touch innovation that recognizes subtler variations in screen pressure, making the device more interactive and responsive.
TRIPLE ANTENNA
Huawei says the two versions of its flagship smartphone come with a virtual triple antenna which works under different signal conditions not minding the position of the hand.
SENSORS
Fingerprint Sensor, G-Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Compass, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor and Hall Effect Sensor.
BATTERY
The both versions come with 3400mAh batteries with dual IC for rapid charging which help users to stay charged for a long period of time.
