Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector General of Police, says that he is according top priority to technology advancements to enhance policing in the year 2025.
The Police chief said this during a virtual conference held today where he commended officers for their efforts in reducing crime in 2024, and urged them to enhance their anti-crime strategies for 2025.

Egbetokun also announced the introduction of weekly lectures across all levels of the Force, focusing on technological advancements, human rights, community policing, and ethical conduct.
According to Egbetokun, ”these lectures will serve as a platform for continuous professional development, ensuring that all police personnel remain informed of evolving legal frameworks, best practices in policing, technological advancements in law.”

The Police chief further underscores accountability at all levels, making it clear that supervisors will be held responsible for the actions of their subordinates.
