Dr Bosun Tijani: IHS Towers committed to speedy restoration

Tijani, made the announcement while writing on social media platform X handle today, following his visit to assess the current state of the vandalised NCC Digital Innovation Park in Kano. The park was damaged during the #End Bad Governance# protest that took place on August 1, 2024.

The Digital Innovation Park was originally constructed for the Kano 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) fellows to facilitate their applied and hands-on learning. Following the support from IHS Towers, the park will undergo full renovation, the Minister said.

During his visit to Kano, Tijani expressed his commitment to swiftly restoring the facility for the benefit of citizens.

“I was in Kano yesterday to witness first hand the current state of the @NgComCommission Digital Innovation Park which was unfortunately vandalised a few months ago. At the time I mentioned that we would move quickly to restore the facility for the benefit of our citizens, including our @3MTTNigeria fellows who were meant to use the Park for their applied and hands on learning. I am pleased therefore to announce that we have received the support of @IHSTowers who have committed to the full renovation of the location so we can finally put it to good use,” according to the Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy Minister.

Addressing the 3MTT fellows in Kano, the Minister said that they, along with other young people in Nigeria, represent the future of the global digital workforce. He acknowledged their dreams and aspirations as valid and expressed his pleasure in meeting them and hearing their inspiring stories.
