Infinix lands Nigeria smartphone deal with Zinox mobile unit

Infinix Mobile has signed a partnership distribution agreement with a subsidiary of the Zinox Technology Group, TD-Mobile, to raise its stakes in the Nigerian smartphone market.
Regarded locally as a fast growing mobile phone brand, Infinix expects to leverage TD-Mobile’s nationwide network to increase the market share of its range of smart phones in the Nigerian mobile devices market.

TD-Mobile says it will add Infinix to a product portfolio it presently distributes that include phablets, tablets and smart phones from top brands like HP, Lenovo, Dell, Zinox, Nokia and Toshiba, among others.
Infinix Mobile gadgets are products from a Hong-Kong based joint venture between Mobiwire (formerly Sagem Wireless) and Earningway. Infinix smart phones such as the Infinix Zero, Race Lite and Infinix Hot X507, among others.
The Asian brand has become increasingly popular in Nigeria owing to the added functionality of power banks, which offers the user longer battery life, TD-Mobile says.
Commenting on the deal, Mrs. Gozy Ijogun, Managing Director of TD-Mobile, says that, “we are delighted to add Infinix to the extensive list of Original Equipment Manufacturers whose products are presently being distributed by us on the continent. TD-Mobile has been in the forefront of driving technological revolution in Africa by bridging the digital divide with affordable smart devices which offer a unique user experience. The new partnership agreement with Infinix will go a long way in helping us expand the frontiers of access to quality and pocket-friendly smart devices for many.”
According to her, “as we have done with other major brands we distribute, we will leverage on our excellent distribution network and presence in major cities to make Infinix products readily available and accessible to the customer, thereby ensuring that more people can benefit from the wide range of quality devices Infinix has to offer.”
