The Big Four GSM networks offering mobile telephony services in Nigeria have so far been allocated 250 million phone numbers, according to the National Mobile Telephony Number Allocation information seen by Technology Times.

So far, the Big Four lead the pack among a total of 13 companies cited on the directory number ranges allocated to the various mobile operators by the Nigerian Communications Commission, the new market update by the telecoms umpire has shown.

Among the Big Four, MTN Nigeria has been issued a total of 90 million numbers. Globacom and Airtel Nigeria have both been allocated 60 million number each while Etisalat Nigeria has 40 million as shown in the number allocation table below:
