itel Mobile has pitched the robust battery life as one of the edges of its new itel Power 70 smartphone designed to cater to users in emerging markets.

According to the Chinese mobile phone brand, the combination of affordability, durability, and performance stands out new itel Power 70 which was launched globally in March 2025.

itel, a brand under the Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings, has established a reputation for delivering cost-effective electronic devices tailored for emerging markets. With a presence in more than 70 countries and a philosophy of “Enjoy Better Life,” itel wants to democratise technology by making high-quality products accessible to consumers who previously lacked access.

The standout feature of the itel Power 70 is its 6000mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging via a USB-C port. This ensures extended usage and quick recharging times. The device also includes reverse wired charging capabilities, enabling users to charge other devices – a practical feature for regions with unreliable electricity.

The battery, itel says, is designed to deliver up to 25 hours of TikTok streaming, 162 hours of music playback, or 48 hours of light gaming.

The Power 70 smartphone boasts a 6.67-inch HD+ sunlight display with a peak brightness of 700 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight. The screen features an 83.8 per cent screen-to-body ratio and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals for gaming and multimedia use. The phone’s slim profile measures just 7.98mm in thickness and weighs 200 grams, making it portable despite its large battery.
