Nigeria e-commerce market player, Jumia, says that the 2016 edition of its Black Friday sales will last for 12 days.

“Black Friday”  refer to the single day of the year when retail companies finally go “into the black” (that is, make profit).

According to Jumia this year’s Black Friday runs Monday November 14 through Friday November 25 and will have top  brands like AXA Mansard, Binatone, Injoo, Infinix and Etihad Airways to bring to Nigerians the largest shopping event of the year.

Aside 12 days of Black Friday promotional deals, the online shopping platform is promising shoppers increased sales inventory in all categories including: fashion, electronics, phones, computers, home, baby, health and beauty – up to 70% discount of regular prices; over 100,000 deals from 2,500 vendors and highlight offerings from brands like PolyStar, HP, Binatone, Nikon, Pampers and Apple.

According to Jumia, this year’s Jumia Black Friday is designed to offer its customers more days, more deals and more convenience and to deliver on better customer service to the shoppers.

In addition to the deals, this year’s Jumia Black Friday features an online giveaway for every customer who spends N10,000 and above. Lucky customer winners will win an iPhone 7, a PS4 console, two economy class Etihad tickets and two business class tickets, says Jumia.

The company encouraged Nigerian customers to visit all Jumia stores during Black Friday including Jumia Food and Jumia Market (Market.Jumia.com.ng), which it described as the largest and safest marketplace online where buyers can safely interact with sellers for juicy Black Friday deals.

Following the impressive volume of orders during last year’s Black Friday which took place on November 27th 2015, and attracted more than 2.3 million Nigerians to Jumia, the company says this year’s event has been expanded to reach even more customers.

Juliet Anammah, CEO Jumia Nigeria says, “this year’s Jumia Black Friday is designed to offer our customers more days, more deals and more convenience and to deliver on better customer service to our shoppers.”
